Standing out with its support for Wireless Apple CarPlay and Wireless Android Auto, it allows you to access your apps, maps, and music without ever plugging in your phone. A major highlight for audiophiles is the inclusion of LDAC technology, which enables high-resolution audio streaming over Bluetooth at near-wired quality.
The XAV-AX4000 features a responsive anti-glare resistive touchscreen and a compact Single-DIN rear chassis, which leaves extra room for cabling and simplifies installation in crowded dashboards. It delivers 55 Watts x 4 of peak power and includes a built-in DSP with a 14-band EQ and digital Time Alignment (accurate down to 1 cm) for a perfectly centered soundstage. With three 2V preamp outputs and a dedicated USB Type-C port, it serves as a highly capable hub for any high-end mobile audio system.

Night and Day difference in sound and function.
After 4 gruesome years with an Amazon ATOTO a6pf android head unit that kept kicking my wireless android auto and had no firmware support, I decided it was high time to spend a little money on my old 06 Tundra again for a bit of a refresh and hopefully better audio quality. When I installed my atoto initially, I had replaced all of the speakers with the Infinity Reference lineup. I don't run an amp, or a sub, in as basic as it gets and like a little volume here and there.
The Sony is incredible. I didn't realize just how much I wasn't utilizing my speakers, it woke the whole system up running off the head units amp alone provided a lot of clear deep sound in the cab. The user interface is simple, easy to navigate, remarkably responsive and lightweight. What I mean by that, is that there's no bloat or over features, only what you need, maybe a little extra in the 14 band e.q. for some fine tuning. This is a proper mid range unit, with an excellent processor. Aftermarket Rear cam is crisp and easy to see, the gps antenna makes navigation WAY more accurate, and wireless android auto connects and STAYS CONNECTED, so far.
it looks nice and clean, feels good, and was worth the investment.
Truck and I are happy campers.
The only thing I would add, is I wish Sonic offered a service where they connected the harnesses for you. Im capable and was able to do on my own as this isn't my first rodeo, Im just lazy.
